Session Plan:

(1) The History & Culture of Tea

  • A brief look at the origins of tea.

  • The fascinating evolution of tea culture throughout Chinese history.

(2) Understanding Tea Varieties

  • An overview of how tea is classified.

  • An introduction to the six major categories of tea and how to identify them.

(3) The Art of Brewing & Tasting

  • Enjoy a live demonstration of a traditional tea ceremony.

  • Learn to appreciate representative tea varieties through a guided tasting.

  • A hands-on session for you to try your hand at brewing tea.

Upon completion, you will be able to:

  • Grasp the basic tea classification system and identify the six main tea types.

  • Appreciate a tea ceremony and learn to evaluate tea by its leaves, liquor color, aroma, and flavor.

  • Recognize common tea utensils and understand their different shapes, sizes, and uses.
